Workshop #2
4.) I drove my Prius on the road with my friend, David, from New York City to Los Angeles, California to see Jackie Chan as special guest at a talk show. It was a 2,800 miles drive and we have to stop at a hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio to rest. After we leave, we drove 1,000 miles and arrived at Colorado Spring. When we look for a place to stop by, my car broken down at Jackson Road. David and I checked the problems and the car's engine not working and the battery's dead, so we decided to call a tow truck to bring the car to the mechanics. It took at least a day or two to fix and we finally back on the road to Los Angeles. 30 miles away to our destination, we stopped at McDonald's to grab lunch, but I do not have enough money to buy food because I spent my $300 on car repairs, gas, and hotel check-ins and room service. So, we decided to head out and eat leftovers from before. Hours later, we arrived at Los Angeles so I can finally to meet Jackie Chan. Unfortunately, there was a car accident blocking our path and we have no choice to make a detour and most of the parking spot were taken. Soon I parked my car at a parking lot, we walked down to the building where the talk show is, but we got lost. So we asked for direction, but some people were drunk and/or homeless, while a few who just arrived at this city for the first time. Therefore, there was no luck where the talk show is held. Until we met Dodgers pitcher, Clayton Kershaw, who gave us direction to the building and told us that he was on the show talking about his baseball career. After a three mile walk, we arrived just as the show started. We watched as talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, introduced his special guest, Jackie Chan and he talked about his movie star career.
6) My owner, Madison, was a 11 year old middle school student and took care of me. We had fun together playing ball, dress up, and watching television. As we play fetch outside, I stumbled upon a human, Peter, a grumpy neighbor who hated animals and take people's belongings when they are on his property. He said mean things at me and my owner and took our frisbee away and keeps it inside his house. We ran home and my owner tells her mother that the neighbor took our toy. So she steps outside and asked Peter nicely to give our frisbee back, but he shouted "I don't give a darn word for you, now leave my property or else". When I saw Peter, he was ruthless and does not like to be disturb like someone interrupt a king's beauty sleep. The way I imagine is that most humans cares about their pets and feed them from time to time but others think animals always messing their lawn, properties, and housework from certain time. I think some humans spend their time on taking care of their pets and other occasions when they are not home.
