Dogs rescued in Tennessee

Tony Alsup from Tennessee has been nicknamed the driver of "Noah's Ark on wheels since he drove a school bus into the brunt of Hurricane Florence in search of animal rescue. Even with the storm predictions, Alsup drove in and dove in. In total, the 51 year old man is credited for saving 53 dogs and 11 cats. Even though people could not believe he would risk his own life in search of four-legged felines and canines, he said "I love it". He has a huge heart and reported that "people don't believe me, they say it's got to be barking crazy. But no. They know I'm the Alpha dog and I'm not here to hunt them." Rescue shelters across the South placed Facebook posts about the rescue operation of the animals others would not take. Alsup reminds us that "it's so easy for people to adopt the small pets and the cuties and the cuddly. We take on the one s that deserve a chance even though they are big and a little ugly. But love big dogs, and we find places for them." As a dog owner myself, I think Alsup is a rock star. Other Facebook followers agree with me and have written posts such as "God bless you, I love you for what you are doing," and "You are a true animal warrior, a hero of note!" Without animal activists like Alsup, many dogs and cats will die in the storms yet to come
