Second Language Preference
On September 13, 2018, I visited the Raritan Valley Community College Spirit Day Picnic. There were many booths set up on the grounds with volunteers to exhibit the various clubs and great activities at RVCC. I was excited to find that our school has an ESL (English Second Language) Club, run by Luong Ngo. Luong said that " people come to the U.S. to improve their English". Luong is an Asian background, and I found it very interesting since my family speaks Mandarin at Home. With my broken English family, this kind of club can be very important. The club was created in the Spring of 2018. Luong enjoys how the community " shares experiences and learns about American culture" through the club. The ESL Club meets in one of the rooms in the conference center.
